The Institute of Elemental Ethics and Education is an organization with a mission: to facilitate positive, critical change in educational processes and policies in 2008 and beyond.
The strategy at the heart of all activities and events hosted by The Institute of Elemental Ethics and Education is three-fold:
The first goal is to support and amplify the voices of educators, to gather useful information gleaned from their varied experience, and to organize and publish their suggested resolutions to problems plaguing academic systems.
Secondly, the organization is dedicated to the publication and dissemination of practical solutions and steps authored by the experts into the hands of the political, government, and business leaders to educate those that will invariably influence the future of learning in the United States and throughout the world.
Finally, The Institute of Elemental Ethics and Education will make every effort to raise the consciousness of its audience with regard to the positions, philosophies, perspectives, and track records of political candidates running for office with regard to issues of education.
The Institute of Elemental Ethics and Education was founded in 2007. Founding members of the board include individual devotees of positive change in education from different walks of life, including academics, environmental studies, and the Arts. There is no corporate sponsor of the organization, or any particular university or college sponsor or affiliation. Rather it was started and self-funded by a small group of intentional people who believe that the answers to the nagging questions about today's educational status quo are best answered by the real experts, meaning the educators themselves, as opposed to politicians or those who finance them. The organizational is not associated with any particular faith or political party or viewpoint; what the organization is, in effect is a megaphone for the voices of educators. The Board of the Institute of Elemental Ethics is committed to the mission of the organization and to the achievement of its goals.
